The tragedy of 9/11 was compounded by the loss of so
many emergency responders whose only impulse was to
serve and to save life.
Let us honor those who died in the line of duty by
refusing to allow our nation to take more innocent
lives in retaliation.
This is a time to mourn, to grieve, to heal, and
to rebuild. We must also demand justice, but never
stoop to revenge.
If we are to serve life as did our fallen brothers and
sisters, then we can do no greater honor to them than
to allow no more lives to be taken in their names.
