Ground Zero - Ground Hero

This past week and more has been a very emotional
rollercoaster for everyone. More so for Cookie and
Bobby's family. As each day went on, hope dimmed. I
have worked alongside with some of the bravest and
best police officers that I have had the priveledge of
knowing, the Port Authority Police Officers at PATH.
I cannot bring myself to tell you the horrors I've
experienced at Ground Zero, or what I want everyone to
know as Ground Hero.
I believe in my heart and soul that Bobby is now gone,
along with all the others. But our grief is surpassed
by the pride I have in knowing what Bobby and all the
other P.A. officers did to save thousands of lives.
The NYPD and FDNY have had alot of press, and rightly
so. They are the Finest and Bravest, but the Port
Authority Police Officers were the first on the scene
and lost 40 officers, probably about 1/6 of the
command.
The toll is immeasurable in terms of family suffering,
agony, and despair. Not only for the families but the
cops as well.
If you have not made any contribution and you feel you
would like to find some just cause, I strongly ask you
to consider the following fund for the Port Authority
Officers' families, of which Cookie, Timmy and
Meredeth are included.

Port Authority Police
World Trade Disaster Survivors' Fund

To all those who have called with their prayers and
concerns, I thank you. Prayers are still needed. Feel
free to send them. Again, thank you.
