Scot Peterson
Scot is Vice President for Angel Guard Products, Inc., manufacturer of the Rescue Alive Ice Rescue Platform, Pick-of-Life Ice Awls, and the WaterRescue Jaws. In addition to his work with Lifesaving Resources as an Ice Rescue Technician, Water Rescue Technician, and Swiftwater Rescue Course Instructor, Scot works closely with other ice rescue equipment manufacturers, local, state and federal agency ice and water rescue trainers to develop new equipment and course curriculum.
Scot is a Class III Certified Ice Rescue Instructor for the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, Dive Rescue International, and the Ontario Fire College. Scot also serves as an adjunct instructor for the New York State Fire Academy, Toronto Police Marine Unit, and the Iowa Community College system. Scot served 8 years (1980 - 1988) in New England as a Boatswain's Mate for the United States Coast Guard doing small boat search and rescue, and was stationed in Providence, Rhode Island, and worked out of Newport, Woods Hole, Point Judith, and Block Island. He is a certified PADI SCUBA Diver, an Open Water Rescue Instructor, and an avid whitewater and surf kayaker.
