 CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- John Foster, 49, drowned Tuesday afternoon at the pool belonging to the Colonial Place Apartments in northwest Charlotte on Freedom Drive. Witnesses said that Foster was playing a game with children in the pool to see who could hold his breath the longest. Several people pulled Foster out of the pool and gave him CPR.
