NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Dive teams planned to return to the West River Friday for a third day of searching for a 6-year-old boy reported missing by two playmates. Authorities said the mission has moved from rescue to recovery mode in the search for Carlos Brown, who was playing with two other children when he disappeared Wednesday. The other boys, who were older than Carlos, initially told authorities that they were playing tag along the nearby railroad tracks when they lost sight of Carlos. The boys later changed that story and told police they were wading in the river when Carlos was swept away in the current. Searchers found the boy's clothes Wednesday afternoon by the banks of the river near the New Haven Fire Department Training Academy.
