DECATUR -- DeKalb County firefighters rescued two women Wednesday after their car plunged 30 feet into Peachtree Creek as the morning rush hour commute was shifting into high gear.
The accident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. near Executive Park and Sheridan Road just off of Interstate 85 and North Druid Hills Road. One woman suffered bruises and the driver reportedly broke her ankle.
The victims were taken to a metro Atlanta hospital for treatment.
It was not immediately clear if the wet weather played a role in the accident. It was also not clear how the wreck occurred.
