Charleston, South Carolina -- An off-duty paramedic visiting from Syracuse, N.Y., is credited with saving the life of a Charleston boy found lying at the bottom of a hotel pool Saturday. Charleston Police Sgt. Regina Wages said Ed Grosso saved the boy's life. "If he had not administered CPR, (the boy) wouldn't have made it," Wages said. The 11-year-old boy who resides in the Ardmore subdivision was taken to Medical University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Saturday afternoon. Grosso and his relatives had returned to the Best Western Hotel on Savannah Highway about 3 p.m. and decided to relax by the pool before getting dressed for a wedding... |
