An off-duty firefighter helped resuscitate a 2-year-old boy who nearly drowned after being submerged in a Jacuzzi on Monday, Chino Valley Fire spokesman Anthony Landin said.

The boy was found in the Jacuzzi about 3 p.m. in the 5100 block of Copper Road, Landin said.

The boy was taken to the firefighter's house across the street where he performed mouth-to-mouth.

The boy had trouble breathing when he was taken by ambulance to Chino Valley Medical Center, Landin said.
