Water & Ice Rescue Training

Lifesaving Resources develops Water and Ice Rescue training programs for First Responders and conducts this training throughout the U.S., as well as internationally.  These programs include Ice Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician level courses; Water Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician level courses; as well as Surf/Swiftwater Rescue Technician courses.  The purpose of these programs is to provide First Responders with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively respond to emergency incidents in, on and around the water, as well as on and through the ice.

Lifesaving Resources’ programs meet and exceed NFPA 1670 & NFPA 1006 Standards for Technical Rescue.   Certification, upon successful completion of these courses, is valid for 5 years from the course completion date.

In addition to certification programs, Lifesaving Resources offers non-certificated seminars and training programs which may be included within national, state, or regional Fire, Rescue, or EMS conferences.

Lifesaving Resources also conducts International Instructor Academies in Ice Rescue and Water Rescue.  The purpose of these Instructor Academies is to provide First Responder Agencies with the opportunity to have their own personnel trained and authorized as Instructors who can then train and certify their own personnel using Lifesaving Resources’ internationally-standardized curriculums.
